Dr. Jeff Coleman

Dr. Jeff Coleman is our 3rd generation Optometrist at Coleman Vision. He is proudly following in the footsteps of his father Dr. David and grandfather Dr. Ray. Dr. Jeff was born and raised in Baxter Springs, KS, and graduated from Pittsburg State University. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from Inter American University School of Optometry. Studying at I.A.U. benefited Dr. Jeff as he can provide bilingual eye care in Spanish. He also received the College of Optometrist in Vision Development Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy.

Dr. Jeff’s wife, Ashley, is a 4th grade teacher. They have a son and two daughters. He and his family are members of the Riverton Friends Church where he serves as a Royal Ranger Commander. He has a true passion for the outdoors and enjoys hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities with his family. He is involved with several area community organizations and has been blessed by serving on several eye care mission trips around the world with his father.

Dr. Jeff completed his externship in Primary Care at the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, and Pediatric/Vision Therapy with a COVD Fellow Optometrist in Boca Raton, FL. He is receiving his specialized postdoctoral training and C.E. from these organizations:

Dr. David Coleman

Dr. David Coleman is a 2nd generation Optometrist serving the 4 States for 39 yrs. He was raised in Baxter Springs and upon graduation from high school attended Pittsburg State University for undergraduate studies. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tn. returning to practice with his father Dr. Ray Coleman in 1977. While in optometry school Dr. David’s son was diagnosed and successfully treated for strabismus and amblyopia with Vision Therapy. In response, Dr. David established the Joplin Clinic in 1989 providing the only clinic offering the special areas of developmental optometry, vision therapy, neuro-optometry, and sports vision.

Dr. David and his wife Debbie, a now-retired pharmacist, have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. Over the years he has served with numerous community organizations and boards. Presently he is an Elder at Riverton Friends Church. He enjoys spending time with family, hunting, and outdoor activities as well as leading eye care ministry mission trips around the world.

Holli Taylor

Holli joined the Coleman Vision team in May of 2017. Holli brings over fifteen years of experience working in insurance. Holli works hard every day filing insurance, verifying benefits, and answering patients insurance questions. Holli is an extremely fun, caring and compassionate individual. Holli has one son and a beautiful granddaughter who keeps her very busy . She really enjoys spending her down time reading and with her family.

Ashley Adler

Ashley joined the Coleman Vision Team in December 2016. She brings over 15 years of experience working with children; several of those focused on children with special needs. Ashley completed her Intervening credentials from USU in 2015 specializing in working with deaf and blind children. She contributes a lot of experience, love and compassion to the Coleman Vision Team which is beneficial working with children with visual learning problems. Ashley is extremely excited to be a part of the Coleman Vision team and looks forward to integrating her love of children, her specialized education and her passion for helping others find their inner confidence and self-worth to her daily work. Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys being with family & friends and traveling as much as possible. Being a mother to two active boys keeps Ashley and her husband very busy. Their weekends are typically spent traveling from town to town watching thier boys play ball.

LINDA, Reese

Linda was the first staff person hired when Coleman Vision opened in 1990. At the time she was hired as the front office receptionist, technician, frame stylist, in short, our all-in-one staff person. She shares a passion for bringing the benefits of developmental optometry and vision therapy to the people of Joplin and the 4 States. As Dr. David advanced his post-doctoral studies, Linda also studied and trained with doctors across the country. Linda has become a very skilled, knowledgeable and effective Vision Therapist who has blessed hundreds of children and adults with her compassionate heart and Vision Therapy. “When patients give you a hug and share, ‘You were the answer to many prayers,’ or a husband says ‘Thanks for giving me back my wife,’ I know why I continue to do the hardest job I ever loved!”


Sharon joined Coleman Vision in January 2016. She has extensive experience working in ophthalmology and optometry offices since the 1980’s. She pretests patients for their exams, performs diagnostic testing as ordered by the doctors, and trains new contact lens wearers. She has 2 daughters, 2 grandsons,3 granddaughters, and enjoys spending time with her family.


Steve joined Coleman Vision in July 2014 after having worked in the Optical Industry since 1988. He has continuously maintained his ABO certification as a certified Optician since 1995. He previously owned and operated his own optical dispensary business for a few years. He has always displayed a passion for fitting and dispensing well made,quality eyewear along with the newest technologies in lens design in order to best suit the patients’ needs.

Steve has 2 children and 5 grandchildren whom he adores.He enjoys organic gardening,traveling, healthful cooking and diet, reading, daily meditation, and assisting his son coaching local area youth soccer teams.
